Polite 2 year Old

During my nine hour shift at Old Navy tonight I was helping at the tills while we were busy. I said out loud, "I can help the next person in line!" and waited for the next customer. I get so many different genres of people that somehow they all blur together. Every once in a while I happen across one that sticks out. As I waited for the next person in line I stifle a yawn and check the clock counting down the minutes till my next break.
A mother walks up with a little boy sitting in the cart. He hands his water guns to me and says, "Here you go." I smile and say "Why thank you!" He smiles at me and exclaims, "You're welcome!" I ring up the water guns and put them in a little bag and hand them back to the little boy. I started to ring up the woman's clothing when he said "Thank you! Thank you!" I looked at him and said "You are very welcome."
He just couldn't stop saying thank you. It made me laugh. Then he says, "Hey you look like Maddy. Mom she looks like Maddy. Hey you look like Maddy." I finished ringing up the woman and say goodbye to this very polite two year old boy. He waved and said "bye bye!"
It's moments like that where I am glad to be at work. :)
